Persia Weaves

A rich, exotic thread runs through the fabrics in Zoffany’s Persia collection. Textural jacquard weaves are embellished with embroidered patterns depicting Persian scenes or are inspired by the garments of the East, with damask patterns woven in qualities of sumptuous silk and linen. Recalling the silk routes of Asia and the faded opulence of old palaces, the designs have been deliberately created with worn textures to recapture the spirit of a bygone age.
